Curatorial confusion
Ben Luke tried valiantly to enable Grada Kilomba, one of four curators of this year’s Sāo Paulo biennial, to say something interesting or insightful about ‘Choreographies of the Impossible’. She failed. And filled an excruciating amount of airtime with half-baked, clichéd, curator-speak about her “platiform” (sic). This interview should be required listening for all students studying curation. An object lesson in how not to do it.
