Description
Join Anna chatting to Beatrice Hasell Mccosh, Bea is a London based artist who recently had a solo show at Blue Shop Cottage and curated All These Gestures a group show for Bowes-Parris Gallery. All these Gestures was an online exhibition that investigated artists process alongside final pieces. Due to lockdown curators Bea and Cassandra used social media to really engage viewers with the exhibition and artists practice. Bea is really inspired by tapestries and nature and often finds her colour palette is influenced by her childhood spent growing up in the Lake District. Colour is really important to Bea and she has spent time looking into colour theory and the influences of different colours on your mood. Bea then applies this to her large scale abstract paintings working in oils and building up the layers.
