Description
Lily German is a London based artists who’s work is inspired but materiality and physicality. Lily makes clay ceramic sculptures that balance between abstraction and figuration through the shapes and physical impressions made by Lily. Lily is currently exhibited in Back to Back by Bowes-Parris Gallery, which is co curated by Cassandra Bowes and Anna Woodward. The exhibition is avaliable to view on the Bowes-Parris Gallery website. Lily and Anna also discuss how lockdown has brought positivities to their own artistic practices through having more time to work through ideas. Lily is currently working on a series of new works that further investigates the idea of making ceramic installations that exist within themselves.
