I listened to the episode about the parents turned school board members. I felt that Ms. Cornish was gracious, fair and gave the women time and space to state and reflect upon their positions. She also challenged them a bit, and rightly so, to clarify their positions instead of just talking in bumper sticker lingo. It’s a professional skill set that all of the listeners can benefit from. I didn’t agree at all with the board members who were interviewed, but I can empathize with their need to be heard as parents.

Love these interviews that are like Fresh Air with a twist of lemon and a shot of espresso. The conversations are colorful and they pop. It’s like a little micro dose, living in technicolor to supplement the public radio discourse.
