The Wilmore episode was good. But Cornish could have pushed him harder on the White House Correspondents Dinner n-bomb. Wilmore says it was expressive, but it really came off as self-indulgent, since it overshadowed his entire set and took the focus off of comedy and sharp social commentary—and Wilmore had to know it would do that. Yet, to express himself, rather than make some sharp comment about what Obama had accomplished, Wilmore used the word. His Comedy Central show was canceled not long afterwards.
