Description
In this episode of The Assurance Podcast, Juba is joined by Liliane Chlela from Beirut, Lebanon who has recently relocated to Canada due to the ongoing conflict in her homeland.
Despite no longer being on the ground, throughout the podcast Liliane Chlela provides her honest and critical perspective of Lebanese society and that of the wider Levant Region. She talks candidly about progress and human rights in the Arab world and expresses her hopes for the improvement of female and minority rights in the Levant Region, both in and outside of the club scene. Liliane reflects on her own career, whilst encouraging listeners to follow their guts and make a scene and remembers how her 2020 Beirut Fundraiser DJ set, (after August 4th 2020 explosion) helped change perceptions of Lebanon for the better.
