“The wannabe NBA stuff is getting really old. I get that the NBA is a sponsor of the Athletic who you want to keep sweet but does it have to be so obvious ? hockey journalists seem to have a massive inferiority complex about the NBA. Practically Every episode of this podcast now seems to want more razzmatazz- and the phrase “good for the game “ really should be retired from the pod. Maybe it’s a reflection of the general Canadian craving for respect from Americans. However, this is all coming at the expense of actual hockey coverage and analysis which is less and less featured on each ep. Then they canned the round table which was the best part and that was the last straw for me. The social commentary, lack of coverage of actual hockey and too much on the ‘off ice entertainment ‘ was too much. Puck Soup and 32 Thoughts much better.”
