“Martyn’s mention in the Singapore Practice podcast of the Marko comments occurred as a feeble attempt to show journalistic integrity while his failure to subsequently comment on the issue at all showed at best a lack of journalistic integrity and at worst a fear of potentially crossing the top team in the formula. I generally like keeping sports to the issues of sport but Marko’s comments are too far revealing to only warrant a mention that they happened. Is everyone so beholden to Liberty Media, the FIA, and the teams that this gets no scrutiny? I’m not advocating an attack on Marko but at least report on the issue and then left your audience make their own decisions. I’m sure that everyone wants to keep the gravy train going and if that’s where you’re at then there’s the issue of living with your decisions.”
