“I’m listening because I’m interested in health dermatology and I’d like to get a better idea of the elective/beauty dermatologists’ lives and motivations. So far, however, I just don’t find the characterizations of the people particularly compelling, they just seem superficial and not very sympathetic. I don’t feel sad or upset about anything in Dr. Brandt’s world. A superficial guy smart enough to exploit other people’s superficialities, but not smart enough to be reflexive... So, maybe I’m learning what I’m trying to find out? That people who are obsessed with fashion and their looks are boring? At least to me? So, it’s a decent effort as a podcast, but the subject matter doesn’t rise to the level of podcastable. I’ll listen for another episode or two and see if anyone interesting shows up!”
