Very enjoyable and well researched
Des is an engaging narrator and the podcast benefits from the extensive research around the battle and the eastern front. Like most western narratives of the battle it falls into the inevitable, if inadvertent, rehabilitation of the Germans as victims of circumstance rather than violent and unjust invaders. Consequently it parrots some political lines about Soviet command structures that have been found lacking as more source documentation and testimony was made available following the fall of the USSR. All said, this truly is an enjoyable and well made podcast. Thank you for the great product.
