Interesting, but I have questions on some of the analysis.
It’s interesting to listen to this as I’m sat in Stanley, FI, where I live and work. Throughout the podcast there is a repeated rhetoric of “the war is over so why does it matter”. Having experienced the continuous Argentine propaganda machine that continues to claim these islands, I wonder how you reconcile the continuing modern day political conflict that exists here with your analysis. We do not want Argentina to come back. Have you considered how they will twist this controversy further? Have you thought about exploring the modern day defence of the Falklands? Now, I also firmly believe we should explore these topics. Parliament should always have to answer when the truth is obscured. However to do so from a perspective that this event is in isolation in the past and “history” neglects the ongoing lived experiences of those of us living here. I have thought carefully about the original incident, and I firmly believe there was a threat present in 1982. Why the navy, and parliament then acted like they have I am unsure. But ultimately I will always support the governments decision to save the Falklands.

Great story telling- well produced- takes the subject seriously. Reminded me of some of the “This American Life” podcasts that have stayed with me for years
