An engaging listen
Very interesting to look in detail at what happened in this part of the Falklands War. It shows how Politicians have no conpunction about continuing lies and misinformation even when the truth begins to emerge. It also shows how young men involved in military action from both sides are badly treated by their governments who were responsible for the decisions that created their trauma. Congratulations to Andrew O’Hagan and the team for a top podcast series.

I wish all investigative podcasts were like this. Balanced, questioning. A bit about the interviewees but without the tedious ‘I was met at the airport by…’ filler.

I’m ashamed I didn’t know this story better. How powerful to have it investigated now (as cover ups continue). Really well made - not wrung out for false jeopardy, just well paced and reported, with human moments of real pathos. Perfect?

A vitally important story, told with great skill and sensitivity. I was gripped throughout, stirred to outrage and moved to sympathy. Many thanks to all involved.
