The Best Laid Plans
An absolute delight! The main characters are a cantankerous, oldish professor who agrees to run for the Canadian Parliament because he is promised that he can't win, and a disillusioned, accident-prone young spin doctor. Add a campaign team comprising an elderly retirement home resident and two metal-studded punks and you have a hilarious podcast. Behind it all is the rather sobering fact that today's political scene has lost its moral compass, but good people CAN make a difference. I bought the book as I enjoyed it so much. And the follow-up, "The High Road" is just as good, and it is also a free podcast!

Well written, performed & produced. Story mores along nicely; characters reasonablly well-developed. Witty & funny with a bit of word-play; some social commentary, but remains light-hearted and enjoyable. Not a fan of Canadian Politics? Neither am I - but I truly enjoyed the story.
