Laughter without shame
Face it: You're ready for radio that doesn't disgust. For laughter without shame. But try The Best Show anyway. Tom's not an easy laugher, so he works hard for yours. Not in that creepy, off-puting "notice me, love me!" kind of way. No. Thoughtful. Absurdist. Populated by oddball characters and loyal callers. Unique and refreshingly free of profanity. You'll gladly pay hundreds of dollars for CDs by David Green or Patton Oswalt. But Tom Sharpling brings The Best Show to you every week gratis. Listen now, won't you?

Does it get any better than this? No it doesn't, but thanks for asking. How could it? It says "Best" right there in the title, and for once it's not lying. Hey, what's that supposed to mean? You know exactly what it means. How dare you.

The "Best Show on WFMU" is incorrectly named. The title should read "The Best show on Earth," and I imagine if we ever discover alien life, "The Best Show in the Universe." No other podcast comes close. There is no "giving this a chance." it's click, subscribe, and become a Friend of Tom.

If you listen once and don't get anything that's going on don't worry, I didn't either at one point. Give it 5 or maybe even 10 episodes and you'll see why every review on here is a 5. These reviews aren't plants like some people suspect. We just feel this show needs the recognition it deserves.
