Quite Simply, The Best
I'll keep it simple: The Best Show on WFMU is top shelf entertainment, through and through. Tom Scharpling, our noble host, and Jon Wurster (the man of a thousand similar sounding characters), both provide hours of laughter, tears (from laughter), chuckles and other human reactions that occur when you are experiencing humor at its finest. The show may come off a bit abrasive to newcomers (and long as I'm often told by friends I'm trying to get to listen to it), but stick it out and I guarantee you will anxiously await the newest episode when it arrives and immediately find the time to listen multiple times. It's 3 hours of mirth, music and mayhem and it's the best way I can think of spending my Tuesday nights. You can't top the Best Show, you can't stop the Best Show.

There's a reason this is called the Best Show. Rants, mirth, pop culture, kickin' tunes, movie reviews, mental fake callers, crazier real callers, a doo-wop-and-horror-enthusiast, top-shelf celebrity guests. If you're not listening, you've fallen behind. Listen to The Kid.

"Ted Leo Rap Battle." From there, I was intrigued. I didn't quite "get" the show at first, and it honestly took a few tries to fully understand what the heck was going on. Heck, I'm still confused, but that's what keeps it interesting.Read full review »

This truely is the Best show. Not only on WFMU, but on the entire radio. If he were on NPR, while they had a fundraiser, they would get so much money that everyone on at the station would be driving sports cars.Read full review »
