The real talk we all wish was the standard!
I’ve been following Risa, Steve, and the BGB Studio for quite some time, after a referral to check them out. I was even fortunate enough to take their Audition Revolution workshop, which gave a steroid shot to my work and the way I approach my auditions. This new podcast is totally worth your time. I often find myself laughing or smiling at something said that strikes a chord or thinking “yup, that’s totally me.” While never feeling judged or less-than, because that’s where I happen to be. What they really do is challenge actors and creatives to show up with nothing short of their full authenticity and artistry. That’s a place I think we can all agree is a worthy place to start. I’ve always appreciated their industry insight and perspectives that sometimes seem to go against the grain of what we’ve been told or the stories we tell ourselves. Kudos to them for being the light a sometimes cynical and jaded actor like myself needs to get out of my head, into my heart, and back to the love of the work. Thanks!

It’s hard being an actor. But thankfully, the BGB Studio Podcast is here to help working actors navigate/embrace the business, while balancing spiritual sanity. I don’t feel alone anymore. Risa and Steve clear up many misconceptions and are so incredibly vulnerable. Love this. Thank you both.

This puts the industry into perspective for actors of all levels of experience. With each layer of experience every podcast serves a new and different meaning each time. Thank you. P.S. Time for a new episode😏
