“This has become a 45-50 minute podcast with at least 10 of that being ads. It’s basically one big ad with a little pod thrown in, and ever-shrinking. Then they are sad they don’t have time to share all their stories for the week? Maybe rethink the priorities a bit, because this feels like a giant sales pitch - it used to feel like a low key, relational ministry that ultimately aimed to bring God glory. Now it seems to just be about punching the clock and cashing a check.
I enjoy this show content-wise, but it’s almost not worth it anymore because there are so many ads. I also struggle with Sophie’s constant name-dropping of people who are only well known in certain circles (like podcast niches). It’s feels weirdly boastful and it’s so irritating…another area where priorities are seemingly unaligned with their faith.”
