Having a Conversation with friends
I discovered The Bittersweet Life from an article I read about Crows and how they befriend humans. I was interested in what this podcast would be about so I downloaded the latest episode which at the time was about this little girl and her friends the crows. When I started the podcast Katy suggested we start with first podcast to capture the full story/essence of the show. I did this and today I am caught up. My first impression, these 2 work together like they have been doing this for most of their lives. I was drawn into the conversational banter and through that they brought me to their location and I felt I was sitting with them listening and seeing what they were seeing and hearing. I continued listening to the following episodes, which run about 30 mins, and continued to enjoy their insights into living in a foreign land. The art, people, dangers of bathrooms, the food, the noise, the over running bathtub, etc. My favorite episode was the walk with Caravaggio and the sharing of a off the beaten path painting of the blessed mother and Jesus. Fantastic. I think the sound quality is fantastic for what it is, the content is loosely scripted which makes the podcast more conversational and free. I am looking forward to how life will change and how Katy and Tiffany will deal with the distance from one another.

So great! I wish I had discovered this before my last two trips to Italy. These two are easy to listen to - I wish I could meet them on my next Italy trip!

As an expat myself, I identify with a lot of what Katy and Tiffany talk about, and the podcast has been an insightful tool to reflect on my own experience. The most brilliant thing is the soap-like quality of the story (in a very positive way!), I was close to tears listening to the...Read full review »
