Eeessshhhh
This podcast has interesting information/history sprinkled throughout, however it is ruined by the host/creator who keeps bringing it back to being about her and how she should feel guilty that her grandpa worked to create the bomb. All the grandpa did was twist dials to ensure a gauge on the panel in front of him read properly to make the enriched uranium. No offense, but that’s a monkeys job. He didn’t know what he was doing when he was doing it, just that he was supporting the war effort. Its not like the bomb was his brain child. If it were, I could understand the host/creator peppering her feelings throughout the show. With or without your grandpa the bomb would have been built. Get over yourself and try to present a podcast based more in facts rather than making it about your feelings. Its distracting and takes away from the show.

Beautifully composed with just the right prose to fascinate.

This is a really interesting podcast and obviously a hugely important moment in history....But I find it quite dramatic in production. I don’t think podcasts are usually this dramatised, which is why it’s a bit much. It’s a little bit over the top but overall an enjoyable listen.
