Description
Hello and welcome to the freshest episode of The Bounce Forward Podcast. I’m your host, Michael Leach and today’s guest is the multilayered, multidimensional and colorful Carter Roy, who appeared on Law and Order last night. If you haven’t listened to Part One of this two-part episode, I’d highly encourage you to give it a listen.   I hope you’re hooked by that opening and ready to take the deep dive, as listening to this man riff on the guitar gives me chicken skin every time. In part one we talk swimming, competition and life, and in part two, we’re going to take a deep dive into the life, work and psychology of Carter Roy.  If you didn’t already fall in love with Carter after Part One of our discussion, I’m confident you will after Part Two. Carter is a beautiful human, a deep thinker and a true original, he’s truly one of one.  Articulate, thoughtful, wise and multi-talented. Carter’s truly a modern-day renaissance man. He’s an actor, artist, author, singer and song writer and he’s a wildly successful podcast host, the voice of six Spotify originals.  Montana born and raised, Carter and I discuss his journey from the bright lights of New York City where he appeared on Broadway and theaters across the country, to his bold and audacious move to LA and his work on TV shows and movies. We open Part Two discussing just what happened to Paul Crik, a character Carter played and helped develop, one that turned him into an iconic YouTube sensation. We also dive into the deep end discussing Carter’s art with the paintbrush and his novels with the pen.  We’ll explore topics like trust, faith, flowering endeavors and the trials and tribulations that come from rejection, when really putting oneself out there. In this episode, Carter shares what he’s learned from the heartache and challenges and how he’s found the courage to harness an inner confidence to keep showing up. We’ll discuss topics like flow state and what Carter’s creative process looks like. This episode is raw, real and vulnerable—typical of our show.  I love this man and when I asked him to sing us out, he jumped on the acoustic and it’s worth the wait.  I hope you enjoy the listen and as always, if you like what you hear, please share this with your friends and family and leave us a five-star review.
