“Reading the words alone would breathe life into a mom in the trenches but hearing Monica’s voice relay hope and joy and strength touches the deepest part of my mother heart. The part that says, “I’m failing”. “I’m not equipped.” “I can’t make it through the day.” Instead, the louder inner voice (with a cute north shore kind of sound) says “you can totally do this!”. “This is gonna be awesome!” Also worth mentioning is the paradigm shift this has brought about. Instead of seeing my kids as a burden and something to exhaust my will trying to control I see them as treasures given to me that I get to see flourish. I enjoy my children more than I ever have.
