Fantastic!!!
I recently discovered the podcast and I’m loving it. I’m a big fan of the in-dept Great Courses history lectures. This podcast is of the same great quality! But it’s free! It’s very well structured, it manages to draws parallels from events of the Early Medieval Age (The least popular and understood period) that have shaped Balkan history and ethnicity to this day. In the beginning it’s a story about the Eastern Roman Empire, about the steppes, about Nomadic Invaders! about the Carolingian Empire, the Slavs, the clash between christianity and paganism, it is an awesome story. Told with flair, attention to details and the utmost respect to history! With explanations on the multiple accounts in the sources, and of the competing theories for events! If you love history, Want to know more about the region that bordered the Byzantine Empire and its people - this podcast is a must! Especially If you love Medieval history this podcast will turn the tables on you and you’ll hear events from a previously unknown perspective!

Quite a good history podcast on a topic that hasn’t received enough attention. Well worth a listen.
