Enjoyed it a lot - But...
I’ve given it a lot of thought, I enjoyed the podcast. It was informative, knowledgeable and gripping. But, early on we are told that it’s not a ‘witch hunt’...80% of the podcast is a hunt. Also, for five episodes it’s taken in a direction that the husband is shady and it’s portrayed that he is very involved with August’s death. This isn’t the issue, the problem I have is the line of questioning. It’s so leading! Everyone around Kevin is quizzed with questions that are leading! Especially people with track records of mental illness. ‘But did he physically harm you?’ It really felt that Jon had his mind made up about Kevin and the questions are lead for the audience to believe he was involved. It’s just a bit of a shame, it’s a horrible tragedy and the important issue around mental health was lost in a hunt for the person responsible. But, a brilliantly delivered podcast. I will listen to more
