Pretty disgusting
Jon Ronson is a paradox: a gullible cynic; and he thinks his audience is too. Posing as the disinterested investigator—belied by that prissy, sententious narrator’s voice he affects—he uses editorial control to give himself unearned authority and false weight to the self-serving, often crack potted judgements of others to build a (very flimsy) dirt file on an innocent, if somewhat flawed man. That he gives any credence to Kevin Moore’s ex wife’s slander says it all. In fact, she—self-confessed drunk, mental health inpatient, failed porn star, failed ethnographer—told Ronson straight up that she was a vindictive, impulsive, selfish nasty piece of work, yet still he played what she said about her ex and pretended it was something to be trusted, something meaningful. What a creep. Ronson really should have considered the beam in his eye before he went after the mote in Kevin Moore’s.

I looked forward to each episode with such anticipation. With incredible depth it took us in directions we could never have imagine. Jon Ronson is just the best and I prefer hearing his unique voice over reading the words myself any day of the week.
