“I really enjoy listening to you guys and thank you for putting the effort in to making a quality Catholic based podcast. As a convert from Protestantism, my only feedback on the most recent episode regarding difficult teachings of Catholicism is that I still believe there is clarification needed regarding Papal authority. Specifically, what are Catholics to do if hypothetically in the future, there was a heretical pope that pronounced a mandatory declaration that all Catholics are to accept abortion as morally acceptable, or that homosexual marriage is morally acceptable. Clearly, these teachings would be heretical, but if we embrace fully the concept of people infallibility, then it seems there would not be a good option for Catholics to follow. More so than the lineage of the pope, I feel that this is the bigger stumbling block that most protestants have regarding the papacy.
Any feedback on this question would be greatly appreciated!”
