“I’ve been a fan of Doctor Mike’s for a long time so I was super excited when he released this podcast! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the episodes so far and I look forward to future episodes!
My question for Doctor Mike is: could you give an overview of what you understand about fibromyalgia? There seems to be so much information about it out there but it all seems to contradict each other and all it really says is “we don’t know” in a roundabout way. I have this condition and honestly even my own general practice doctors and the myriad of different specialists I’ve seen admit that they don’t really know because the information is unclear and guidelines have changed a lot. This has made it really tricky to understand what is actually going on and is quite frustrating both for patients and medical professionals due to the lack of definitive answers, which is surprising when you look at the figures of how many people have this condition worldwide.
