“A superb podcast, filled with honest, informative and thought-provoking conversations, between fascinating guests, and an engaging host.
Not specifically a medical question, but a health-related question: Studies into the physiological & psychological benefits of the human-animal bond suggest that animals improve people’s short & long-term physical & mental health. E.g. dog owners are 8.6 times more likely to still be alive one year after a heart attack than non-dog owners (Friedmann & Thomas, 1995) & cortisol levels reduce when petting dogs (Pendry & Vandagriff, 2019). Do you have any thoughts on this area of research, from a medical perspective?🩺”
