There aren’t many golfers called Norman.
I will have nothing bad said about The Chipping Forecast or Messrs Cotter, Pepperell and (special guest) Carter. The chat is insightful, balanced and occasionally off the wall (see ep 11, Nigel births) but it’s coming from people who know what they are talking about with many years of experience from different sides of the story. Their breadth of discussion - giving a great amount of time to amateur, senior and - gasp - women’s golf, can only be applauded. Not always taking things too seriously is a great way to keep things moving and bring some joy to a morning commute. Those who disapprove of some of the delivery as dull or boring (ahem, Cotter) need to understand that he’s actually very enthusiastic, but droll, as us Scots tend to be. So, as the old adage sort of goes, if you have nothing good to say, turn off the pod, and stop whinging. Let us who know good broadcasting enjoy the perfect golf ball shaped bubble these three have created.

Don’t go away again. Has EP listened to the actual shipping forecast yet? The best golf podcast you three. As good as Crouch and Clancy, without the glamour.
