Episodes
It's been a minute since my last episode, but a lot has happened! The class of 2020 is now the class of 2024 which is really weird to think about AND scary considering a lot of us don't have jobs (myself included). So, this episode we talk about the struggles of trying to get a job in a post-pandemic world while also keeping the hope for a career we are passionate about.
Feel free to reach out with your story of living in a post-pandemic world by getting in touch or commenting on the...

If you've been on social media or watching the news AT ALL, you've probably heard about the HBO docuseries Quiet on Set.
It's a wild ride but also a bit lacking in some regards. Shireen and I break it all down in April's Movie of the Month!
Content warning: we do discuss sexual abuse so please take care of yourself before listening if the topic is a sensitive one for you 3

Spring has sprung! That has nothing to do with this episode (on a Tuesday no less) except for the fact that Ramadan takes place over the transition from Winter to Spring. I know very little about faiths outside of my own but as someone who values knowledge and wants to hear people's stories about their lives and experiences, what better way to combine the two than bring a friend to give me the low down on Islam and the sacred celebration of Ramadan.

It's the end of winter. It's the end of March. And it's the end of awards season. The big winner? Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer. So, Shireen and I are chatting about this beast of a film that honestly, I need to rewatch since the last time I saw the 3-hour biopic was during the Barbenheimer craze. But I guess the time passed between watching and reviewing it goes to show how much it resonated.
Give it a listen!

Still contemplating on whether or not you should buy that plane ticket to your next adventure? Well, allow me and fellow anxious, money-saving traveler Holly Sims to convince you that yes, the trip is worth it.
We talk growth, mishaps, and... green cards?
Not only did we learn things about ourselves overseas but we had experiences that have prepared us better for the adult world.

Out of the dream that was my spring break trip to London, England, I come bearing a conversation between two British girls and an American. We talk about food, love, politics, and drinking, and the differences between the two countries.
All good fun and maybe some advice too.

There is nothing like a Netflix movie... There is also nothing like a film about a woman who grooms someone more than 20 years her junior... Yeah.
Shireen and I are breaking down and looking into the wild melodramatic ride that is Todd Haynes May-December.
CONTENT WARNING
We do discuss the themes of s**ual abuse that are a part of this film AND there are spoilers... You have been warned.

One month into 2024 and I've already had a crush come and go. Luckily for me, there are still eleven more months plus one day (Leap Year y'all).
Love is weird. It's messy and complicated and beautiful and exciting. I know nothing about love.
So I brought two friends along who also no little about relationships to rant with me! We cover crushes, the struggles of feeling lonely, failed attempts to win over crushes, and more. Give it a listen!

It's murder on the dance floor...
Welcome to the first episode of the Movie of the Month series where we take a deep dive into film. An old friend of mine joins me on the episode to roast and respect these cinematic masterpieces and/or flops. And what better way to launch the subseries than with the film on everybody's lips: Emerald Fennel's thriller, Saltburn.
WHAT A FILM.
Let's just say... we have thoughts.
What movie should we cover next? Let me know in a review, DM, or email!

Oooooooh shoot. I did something crazy (for me).
Somehow, I grew some ovaries and have secured a trip abroad.
I have never done something like this before and I've learned a few tips that I think you'll find helpful too if you're hoping to start your travel adventures! This will be helpful if you'd like to travel solo and/or on a budget because best believe, I had MAJOR anxiety spending money for this flight.
Go out there and travel! There are ways to do it safely and on budget!

My name is Sophia Raine and welcome to my most recent impulsive decision.
Also, ignore my cat crying in the background. She's a chatty little thing.
The Class of 2020 is a podcast for the anxious, the bodacious, the curious, and the ambitious... Basically, it's for everyone.
In a perfect world, this will be a weekly show where each episode covers relatable topics on the minds of anyone trying to navigate the adult world post-2020.
But I'm also a student about to graduate college. So, if...
