Too much vocal fry
I can’t get through the first 10 minutes. The narrators audio interview voice would keep me interested as it sounds natural. The success of the podcast is the story and the voice presenting it. Unfortunately, I won’t be hearing the story.

Well done Kim and team. Thank you for shining a light on how appallingly the victim and the black community were treated during the police investigation.

I noticed that this podcast doesn't try to draw you in with catchy songs or very suspenseful endings. Instead it has long interviews that gave me a feeling of being a part of Barker's exploration.Read full review »

In the face of it, The Coldest Case in Laramie is about the death of a young woman, Shelly. As Kim Barker tells it, it is also the story about a hard place, the challenges that women faced, and the fear of change. A gripping listen. Barker is a terrific narrator and journalist.
