I live in an affluent neighborhood in a University town in East Tennessee. My neighbor, who is not Jewish has two large flags in the back of his pickup. One is a Trump flag and the other is the flag of Israel. There is overwhelming support in this area and in towns across America for the Jewish people and for Israel. This brief story will relate the attitude of most of America. My father emigrated to this area in the 1950’s from Iran. My mother’s (a blonde, blue eyed Tennessee girl) family asked him how they celebrated Thanksgiving in Iran so that they could make sure they would have the foods that he liked…If I were a young Jewish father living in New York, I would move my family to Nashville or Birmingham or countless other great Southern town and raise my children as proud Jewish Americans”
