Allen Pratt, director of the National Rural Education Association, talked the impact on rural students of online learning in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic. Many students deal with sometimes nonexistent, sometimes too expensive internet access, and schools were looking for creative options. David Crothers, director of the Broadband Association of North Dakota, also briefly joined the conversation to discuss why that state had successfully made internet connection possible for almost all students.
