Brilliant Satire
This podcast paints an exaggerated picture of domestic life in the 1960s, though not as exaggerated as you might think. Amanda Lund perfectly sells Marabel May as a woman deeply in denial about how desperately unhappy she is in her marriage, and near her breaking point, all with a chipper attitude and presumably sore cheek muscles from forcing smiles. The series goes through some brilliant dark comic twists and turns, and is well worth a listen (all episodes total about 90 minutes.) Marabel May changed my life, though maybe not in the way she intended.

Hilarious. Listening to this in today's time just makes me smirk as a working class, unmarried, millennial woman. Boy what would Marabel would think of me. As an admirer of the 1960's, even the music and the static noise effects are on point. Absolutely genuine!Read full review »

Strange, unexpected, smart, clever, laugh-out-loud funny.
