Encouraging
It was definitely something to stumble across Sara’s story, I heard her on girls night and was prided to check out her podcast upon hearing her story. I too have suffered with a broken relationship with my own mother, forgiveness is something I constantly struggle with I use to have deep feelings of hatred and hurt, eventually they hatred seemed to leave and I said I forgave her, I tricked myself, I didn’t realize I still harbored feelings of hurt, loneliness and longing for a mothers love, I now realize I never dealt with them and formed relationships with people who shared the same traits as my mom, after years of physical, verbal, and mental, I am so glad that God has kept me in his loving arms and how he puts people together, I use to feel so ashamed and scared thinking my mom is situation was weird because no one else has gone through this, thanks so much for this segment it has helped me with my relationship with God and facing the reality and trying to address those hurts, instead of being in denial.

Real, Raw, Complicated, yet there is Hope. Sarah’s writing has always inspired me and made me feel like we had been friends for a long time. Now I get to hear her speak and share deep feeling stories that help me understand my own struggles and point me to the One who loves me where I am.

I first learned about Sarah Mae from Sally and read their book “desperate.” I’ve enjoyed following her FB and blog and can relate to a lot of the mom issues. This podcast is a good addition in sharing her experiences and information.
