When things happen in a relationship we don't always have the answers or know how to handle it and so having a fresh perspective or just someone to pull you back in check before you begin World War III can be handy. However Theres a fine line between airing your laundry and asking for help/advice and you have to be very selective on who you ask that advice and make sure they understand the role you have asked them to fulfil. This week we discuss a couple who are facing a challenge in the sense that she talks to her brother about matters of her relationship that bother her but her other half can't stand it and believes that what happens behind closed doors should stay behind closed doors. The person who she has confided in has also seen it their place to address what she has told them with her partner directly which has not gone down well. Do you think it's ok to ask for external perspective on matters within your relationship? Do you think that if you tell someone something irrespective of how close they are to you that they then have the right to confront/discuss the subject with the other person involved directly? Should everyone just keep themselves to themselves and not share anything at all?
