Most valuable podcast period.
I found Team Covenant when Marvel Champions was announced and I wanted to hear any details about the game. They had some insight and I began to listen. Even though some of the games they cover are outside my wheelhouse, what I was unprepared for was their unique insight into the industry which got me hooked. Their “How to ruin a game” series was pure gold and really presented a new perspective on the entire world of gaming. Then came the podcast which I feel spoke directly to me on a “life lesson” level and that was podcast 171 - “When success isn’t enough”. I feel like a 1000lbs gorilla has been removed from my back. They spoke about how a decision can be made and at the time you can be incredibly happy with the outcome, but down the road you can learn that you ‘could’ have made a different and better decision and now you feel regret and instead of the joy you had you now feel nothing but disdain. This sums up my life in so many ways. I honestly have never been satisfied once I saw how differently things could have become so I had always lived with regretting decisions and choices made which were not optimal. After listening to this episode I feel free to enjoy life again. I’m happy with selling my Pokémon cards 5 years ago when I needed the money and not holding on to them until now when I could have gotten 20x the return. I no longer regret trading away my Revised MTG dual lands for giant (worthless) creatures which brought me so much joy to play in my youth. The best part of these podcasts is when they go off topic and down rabbit holes and discover all kinds of fantastic subject matter you wouldn’t even think of a gaming podcast to touch upon. Plus it’s also just a great gaming podcast too!

This is a fantastic podcast for those interested in CCGs, LCGs & others. Best production value in the genre, hands down. The hosts are engaging, informative and fun to watch / listen to. They explain a lot of stuff and are noob friendly as well as talk about more competitive topics.

There is a reason this show has 5 stars. This is one of the few podcast that really dives into the economics and philosophical approach to owning a small business in the hobby market. As a fan of hobby board games and someone who finds narrative approaches to economics entertaining this show hits...Read full review »
