Ms.
Davin has conceived and produced a very important niche podcast about the joys and sufferings of approaching, entering and succeeding at college. As a long-time admissions officer for University of Rochester, he is well aware of the pitfalls, assumptions, and emotional costs of struggles with the college admissions process and explores them with the experts from journalism and universities around the country to help parents and students to succeed at this demanding rite of passage and avoid many of the associated heartbreaks. The crush is both the crush of love for the college of your choice (and getting in) and the crush of not getting in. From finances, to helicopter parents and escalating pressures on students to achieve and the tragic consequences of increased student suicide, he fearlessly explores the hopes and fears of college for parents and students. I wish I had had this information when my own kids were going to college.
