Natural and unnatural wonders
What I love most about this is how the love of nature that goes into it clearly applies to the real world as well as mysterious fictional critters. The result is a show that promises natural wonders everywhere if you take the time to look – from distant deep woods to fast food parking lots – even if you don’t find miniature whales or asphalt-swimming salamanders. It’s funny and weird, occasionally creepy and unexpectedly poetic, and a perfect listen for a short walk in the woods; but when the podcast ends, take your earbuds out, and maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of something strange and new.
