A nice way to reread the Culture novels.
I’m really enjoying rereading these novels along with John and Sheridan. Gaining fresh insights into some novels I read many years ago as a younger man. The first series was a little frustrating, because there’d be weeks between chapters. For the second series I waited until they completed the book before I started. I do wish that John and Sheridan were to invest in a printed copy of the books though. There seems to be issues with the kindle and audible versions of the books. Season 2 in particular would have been much improved if they’d read it chapter by chapter rather than in 4 parts. The copy I’ve been reading (Orbit, 2002, I bought secondhand) has 4 parts divided into many unnamed and untitled chapters.

John was informative. Would be good to hear him chatting with someone who understood the book. Colleague was murder! Chat was hard going. John could probably get more stuck in, instead he has to regularly explain basic points to S.
