Fantastic podcast
Loving the podcast so far. Great insight into interesting topics and brilliant guests. Terrific hosts as well, of course. Can I make a suggestion for a topic of discussion? As a keen golfer brought up on links golf I am fascinated by golf course design and also love to see the game succeed. But recently I have been conflicted by my environmentally-conscious side, especially as I read of new courses being planned to be built in important protected areas. Previously, the development of Trump’s course near Aberdeen was well publicised and criticised by many but eventually built anyway, despite being on a protected SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). Now, there is a proposal to develop Coul Links near Dornoch into another top links course. This, despite the fact it is a hugely important nature reserve, SSSI and protected at European and global level. Do we not have enough top courses to play already and more than enough to draw in thousands of tourists every year? I don’t want people to think I’m against golf courses and all are bad. On the contrary, well-managed and sustainable courses (which is a growing movement within the game) can actually be top sites for wildlife - even some of the less natural parkland courses. In comparison to agriculture and housing, courses can be great use of space and hugely increase biodiversity. But where land is already key for nature, such as Coul Links, a course would not be the best idea. Would be really interest to know your and Andrew’s thoughts on the matter. Sorry to discuss in my suggestion for discussion...but having done the research for a previous film, I thought it easier to lay out the main points!

Very slowly but very surely becoming somewhat non-missable. Andrew’s greatest accomplishment is to make Iain sound ALMOST glass half full!
