About Omar Growing up/personal life: Born and raised in the Greater Vancouver area Grew up with family businesses – his parents ran several Benjamin Moore and Home Hardware stores Worked at the stores growing up; watched his parents being entrepreneurs from a young age – he knew he wanted to own his own business one day too. Learned from his parents the importance of accurate financials for business to succeed Went on to get his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and then complete his CA Now married and has two young girls, lives in Vancouver Hobbies: Fitness activities (Spin, running, workouts), Spending time with his family, and reading Work: Out of university, landed his dream job at KPMG (read his Linkedin post on this here to learn about how he went from KPMG to quitting and starting his own shop) Co-founded Enkel in 2016 (read a quick summary on our “About Us” page) Note: Omar can talk about this in further detail about how the company got started and how/why it’s built/his partnership with Pankaj Top 3 Takeaways 1.
