Superficial
I listened to my first and last episode. What Variety is to Hollywood, this apparently aims to be for Washington. I can watch cable tv if I want that level of analysis. Example: The impeachment trial has no substance, despite the substance being an attempted coup by the president of the United States and destruction of a pillar of democracy, the peaceful transfer of power. Why? The result is a foregone conclusion, so what a bore. They acknowledge, sigh, that unfortunately they have to cover it, and they’ll focus on the only impactful thing that could come out of it: the relative improvement in name recognition of the house managers. They’ll be focusing on the various performances of the House managers and looking for break out moments. Maybe the podcast will come out with their own Oscars for best performance in an impeachment trial. I won’t be listening to find out.

Great show. Anna and Jake have a great mix of true, factual information, great analysis and cautious sense of humor mixed in. 3 episodes in, I’m hooked. Keep up the great work. “Hold the wheel, read the sign, keep the tires off the line. “Just relax, you’re doin’ fine...” -pH

I didn’t know who PunchBowl News was 3 weeks ago. Wait! There was no PN three weeks ago. Somehow I latched on to these guys and now I listen every morning. The hit the major issues, what’s happening in DC and then when I read the normal sources I find, hey I know about that. Great job Anna

Great podcast. Would like if you could make it a little longer and possibly bring in some guests. Might help anchor and help you go more in-depth on a particular issue.
