“I enjoy listening to Anna.
Jake, well, I think of him as “the daily smug.” He comes across as a DC insider who thinks we should listen to what he has to say because, well, he’s a DC insider! Yet his “analysis” seems to not consider the context of today’s political environment. Half of the time I’m left wondering why he’s so upset. More reporting, less editorializing.
Today (23-March,) Jake accused Nancy Pelosi of “legalized money laundering.” I don’t recall him making such editorial commentary about Mitch McConnell or Donald Trump or the GOP. I’m not saying he has a conservative bias - although he may - I’m saying it’s bad reporting.
At the end Anna made the comment that President Biden isn’t going to the House GOP get-together in Orlando. Is it normal for the President of the other party to be invited speak to such a crowd? Even when it is in DC? I don’t understand why that was notable. Or maybe she meant Trump? Can’t figure it out.”
