“I’m commenting on the first story only, but, really? You started the series with an episode about someone spying on a neighbor?
The guy seems like a nice enough guy, I guess, but the girl is presented as sort of a plot point rather than a character in her own story. We hear from his voice only, not hers. And compounding this problem, we learn nothing about who she is as a person, only the ways she reacts to him. Both the main character and the host seem far more infatuated with his cleverness than they are interested in this other human being.
This didn’t seem like a happy story to me. I was left with a pit in my stomach rather than a warm heart.
The episode was well produced, and maybe the podcast will get better. But this seems like a really bad start.”
