Description
Whether you like him or not, DJ Vlad’s earned his voice in the culture. The often-outspoken mastermind behind the Vlad TV empire has never shied away from asking the tough questions, nor has he shifted from expressing his opinion and standing on business. On the latest episode of The Danza Project, DJ Vlad gets straight to it: the claims surrounding his interviews being used in criminal cases, including the Tupac murder case involving Keefe D. He unapologetically stands on his work as a journalist, comparing his research skills to Nardwuar. Vlad’s work as a media mogul often overshadows his early days as a pioneering figure in the online mixtape circuit. Vlad explains how he began building his empire in the early 2000s as one of the first to drop a mixtape online. From there, he dives into his early video projects and street DVDs before building his business to where it is today as one of the leading platforms in hip-hop.  The three-plus-hour conversation dives into a number of other topics, including wanting to pay $1 million for an interview with OJ Simpson. Additionally, he speaks on the Israel-Palestine conflict and even his recent criticism of DJ Khaled and Drake’s silence on the matter. It’s a packed interview with DJ Vlad, who drops plenty of knowledge on a number of subjects.
