“This film was such a disappointment. Not only was the choice of a foe mistaken in Bain, but the film as a whole failed to inspire. What a letdown. One sore point is the introduction of a foe who is so current it leaves behind the historic Batman that many of us grew up with. The end of the film was the best part: it was over and we could move on. I can now pick up a copy of a Batman comic from the 50s and forget what happened to the fantasy that we loved so much from the inception of this hero to his death in the early nineties. I thought Nolan would succeed but he failed miserably. This film does not deserve an award.”
