“I really really really want to like this series.
I love zombie content and I really like the premise but it suffers from sub par writing. The premise’s are excellent! The virus introduced to novel environments I think sums it up well.
But the actual writing is just Meh!
I will say that the first series was a lot better than the second. I think the voice actors (one in particular) in the second series were just terrible and so was the writing.
As a side note, I don’t know how much of the bad pacing can be credited to bad direction and or editing. There’s always these weird lags between action beats and dialogue that slow everything down and spoils the tension. The sound mixing during action is poor. There’s plenty of action based podcasting these days so there’s no real excuse except for an inexperienced team.”
