Intriguing
The Dead Letter Office promotes my inherent curiosity in the strange. We are provided insight into the final destination of mail deemed undeliverable. With some mail dating back decades and some almost a century you become instantly enthralled by the writing style. You are reminded of past trends & gain exposure to private content. Threaded throughout are moments of suspense with mysteries waiting to be unravelled. This production’s premise is a much welcomed alternative to the ubiquitous volume of crime and horror stories The standout episode was # 7 Danse Macabre; such elegant writing. The stories about fad toys from last century provided that comforting sense of nostalgia. I also appreciated the carefully selected bonus episode Nine to Midnight. If you enjoyed other audio dramas that challenge our concept of reality such as Nelson Mandela’s Ghostly podcast The Midnight Burger The Long Hallway The Veil Conversations from the Abyss You may like this show ! Overall rating = 7.4/ 10 with potential
