“Assuring you don’t offend the victim or their family by using specific terminology is political? Digging deep into a case and pointing out where the ball was dropped or where some things may have been missed is political? Having a lot of passion and empathy for victims of crime and wanting to help solve these cases is political? I’m tired of people using the word woke in a way that makes it seem like a bad thing. Being aware and conscience and knowledgeable is better than being asleep and blind and stupid.”
