Stupid marketing
Today in the mail I received a marketing package for The Deck. It came with a couple stickers, a nice card, and then what looked like a deck of cards. I almost threw the deck of cards in my game drawer but decided to open them first to see what the cards looked like. Imagine my surprise when I saw that every card in the entire deck is literally just a QR code 🙄 in the trash it went. If you’re going to spend the money to market your new podcast and send a “deck of cards”, why wouldn’t you send an actual deck of cards?? I recognize that the marketing doesn’t reflect on the quality of the podcast but I won’t even give it a try at this point because that was just incredibly pointless.
